Red TONES
Food-Music-Movement-Clothing
Color affects us all in many ways from what we wear to the food we eat. Red is famously the color of love and passion, it marks Valentine’s Day every year with its passionate hue. Alternatively red also represents violence, war and anger- seeing red is a popular saying. Seeing red also helps us avoid danger with stop lights and emergency lights.
Surrounding yourself with such an energetic, passionate color could increase your confidence, enthusiasm and help you pursue your goals.
Naturally occurring red foods are packed with antioxidants, like lycopene and anthocyanins, which can help prevent cancer, aid heart health and lower blood pressure and there are lots of options to try.

RED TONES: CLOTHING
99 Red Balloons was a favorite growing up and I loved Dorothy’s ruby slippers and here they are in my red portrait. Here’s more about wearing red from around the world.
Just like the red carpet draws attention, wearing red is head turning color used to draw attention in the western world.
Outside western culture, red symbolizes good fortune and prosperity in China and is worn by many brides on their wedding day to attract luck into a long marriage. In India similar beliefs are held and red is a powerful color, symbolizing wealth, purity, love and beauty. Alternatively in South Africa red is the color of mourning and sacrifices.
Understanding what colors mean in other cultures can help us to connect to our increasingly global world.
